Comprehensive One-Stop Terminal Service

Shantou International Container Terminals, SICT, located at Berth no. 7 and 8 of Zhuchi Port of the Shantou Special Economic Zone, east Guangdong Province, commenced operations in 1997 and offers two 25,000-tonne container berths.

SICT continues to lead the way as the only container terminal in Shantou to provide one-stop total solution to local shippers and consignees. Customs' unique X-ray container inspection system and Shantou's only on-site Entry/Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau are collectively stationed at SICT. All containers handled in the northern part of Shantou Port are required to process customs and quarantine declaration, inspection and container release at SICT. Therefore SICT offers its customers additional savings in transportation time and cost.

Well-developed Infrastructure

The Gaungzhou-Meizhou-Shantou and the Beijing-Kowloon Railways connect Shantou with the national railway network

The Shenzhen-Shantou Expressway and the Shantou-Fenshuiguan Expressway link-up Shantou, Shenzhen and Xiamen to the road transportation backbone along the southeast coastline

Shantou-Xiamen/Hong Kong feeder networks provide cost effective solutions to road transportation, facilitating transshipment of cargo to the rest of the world
