Major General Cargo Port in South China

Huizhou Port Industrial Corporation Limited, HPIC, located at Quanwan Port Zone in the Daya Bay Economic and Technological Development Zone of Huizhou, and southeast of the Guangdong Province, is 48km from Huizhou City and 74km from Shenzhen. HPIC operates four multi-purpose berths of 5,000 to 30,000 tonnes and five oil berths of 3,000 to 30,000 tonnes.

Its ideal natural deep water condition allows it to be a gateway in South China for handling containers and general cargo, such as refinery oil, liquefied petroleum gas, wood chips and steel coils. It boasts a total berth length of 1,714 metres. The future planning of the 420 hectares development zone will incorporate state-of-the-art commercial, industrial, financial and logistics business centres.

Well-developed Infrastructure

The network of major roads includes the Huizhou-Aotou Harbour Road, the Huizhou-Heyuan Expressway, the Guangzhou-Huizhou Expressway, the Shenzhen-Shantou Expressway and the Huizhou-Shenzhen Coastal Expressway

On completion of the railway extension to Quanwan Port Zone in 2008, businesses in provincial, large and medium cities along the two major railway arteries, Beijing-Kowloon and Guangzhou-Meizhou-Shantou will be connected to HPIC

Future development comprising of two 50,000-tonne container berths will commence construction in 2008

With natural deepwater channel of Daya Bay and 47 nautical miles from Hong Kong, the port offers large vessels a direct port of call for line haul routes and is strategically located to provide feeder services along the southeast coastline to Hong Kong
